A rectangular field measures 4.8 cm by 3.2 cm on a map with RF 1 : 5 000. Find its actual dimensions in metres.

Actual length: 4.8 × 5 000 = 24 000 cm = 240 m.

Actual width: 3.2 × 5 000 = 16 000 cm = 160 m.

Answer: 240 m by 160 m.
