A scale drawing is an accurate smaller or larger version of a real object. Every length is changed by the same scale, so the shape stays proportional.
๐ From Real Length to Drawing Length
When 1 cm represents 2 m, every 2 m in real life becomes 1 cm on the drawing.

Change the map or drawing length and the scale value. Notice how the real distance changes proportionally.

A rectangular garden is 12 m long and 8 m wide. Draw it using 1 cm represents 2 m.
Length on drawing: 12 รท 2 = 6 cm.
Width on drawing: 8 รท 2 = 4 cm.
