A scale drawing is an accurate smaller or larger version of a real object. Every length is changed by the same scale, so the shape stays proportional.

๐Ÿ“– From Real Length to Drawing Length

When 1 cm represents 2 m, every 2 m in real life becomes 1 cm on the drawing.

Drawing length = real length รท amount represented by 1 cm

For a 10 m wall:

10 รท 2 = 5 cm
Use a ruler and label the scale clearly underneath the drawing.

Change the map or drawing length and the scale value. Notice how the real distance changes proportionally.
